PGDFF Caribbean Gives Back to HIV Food Bank in Barbados !
Special thanks to Mrs. Beverley Culpepper-Alleyne for her kind words of appreciation and to our amazing partner Farmers Choice Products (HIPAC) for joining us in this meaningful initiative.
Together, we’re making a difference — one act of kindness at a time.
The De Farm programme plays a vital role in preparing students with special needs for independent living and employment. It produces both crops and life stock production and enables them to contribute at home if not employed. The fridge and freezer will be used to store the produce and boilers until they are ready to be sold. Agricultural teacher Antonia was grateful to get these additions.
Managing Director, Anita Sundaram and Global Pediatric Health and Relief Advisor, Dr. Kandamaran Krishnamurthy from PGDFF Caribbean Inc who attended the presentation noted that the initiative reflects the Foundation’s continued focus on empowering young people through access, opportunity, and education and were extremely grateful for RBC’s partnership to make this possible. Our youth are our greatest assets.
Shimon McIntosh, Managing Director, RBC Royal Bank Barbados said,
“RBC Royal Bank is proud to support the ‘De Farm’ program and provide large televisions for classrooms projects at the Derrick Smith Vocational School. In living our purpose to help clients thrive and communities prosper, this donation is more than a gift of money -it's a vote of confidence in the potential and dedication of our students.
“By investing in practical education, digital skills and sustainable agriculture, we're helping to equip students with the tools they need to thrive in today's world - and to build a stronger, more resilient future for their communities. We look forward to seeing the fruits of their labour, both in the classroom and at the Farmers Market.”
Principal Victoria Mayers.
“As the saying goes, it’s takes a village, and DSSVC is blessed to have PGDFF, and now RBC, as part of its village too! Our new large screens will do wonders in complimenting the great learning and teaching that takes places in our Secondary School learning spaces!
“De Farm” goes from strength to strength with its new refrigeration items! They will certainly help our efforts to ensure that not only do our students develop agricultural skills, but entrepreneurial ones too! Thank you very much PGDFF for making them happen & RBC for gifting us these items “
This partnership exemplifies how collective action can strengthen educational outcomes and ensure that every child—regardless of ability—is given the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

By mastering the basics of woodworking, children discover that they can turn simple materials into something useful and beautiful.
Thank you to Kooyman for making this learning experience possible and for believing in the power of hands-on education. Together, we’re giving children tools for today – and skills for life.
